JULY 27

“Nothing ever happens the way you want it to so rather than sulking or acting like the world is coming to an end get up and do some work.” But all he does is groan.

Chapter 1
The city of Los Angeles had woken up to its hustle and bustle of the day at 5:00am. Man has work to survive somewhere in this big city there 17 year old Danielle lived at least 50km away from her parents.
Danielle:
I woke up to the beeping sound of my alarm clock realizing its Monday by heart chatters into a million pieces. Though I’m not a morning person I get up with a smile on my face remembering one of the verses in Psalm 23 says “ Ye though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I fear no evil” get the picture? The shadow of death being work and weekdays. After all my morning duties, I leave my cramped up apartment dressed in my favorite white top and black leggings; I work as a waitress at a restaurant ‘ La ROUSE’ three blocks away from my apartment.
Getting to the restaurant and as usual I am always the first to get here, quickly opening up and tidying everything up, even if its not my job I just do it cause I enjoy it. Marty the owner of the restaurant finally comes in just when I finish up at exactly 9:30am, I mean come on it’s a restaurant its meant to be up and bubbling by now especially by early risers that love having breakfast at restaurants but the nonchalance of the people I work with will never make this place grow  last I heard he opened up this restaurant when he was twenty that’s forty years ago and its still the same way it was. I can tell you that the five years I have been here no change. As she and Marty unlike all the other staff had grown to have a mutual relationship so she was hoping that when she ever got the chance to talk to Marty about the stagnancy.
“morning Danielle, how was your night?”
“nice and sleek, and yours?”
“good as well”
Marty was on his way to his office but stopped on the way and said something that made me really happy for him.
“I have had this pressing feeling to upgrade this joint but I’ve really not got a clue on what this generation likes this days I don’t seem to be catching up with it and seeing as you are the youngest kid on the block you’ll have to be the first to ask”
Finally the said in her heart happy that change had finally come and she would be involved in it. Do note that she wasn’t doing for the glory but because she loved seeing this get better.
“thanks Marty, I was just going to tell you the same thing, and I actually do have some ideas already mapped out and ready for you to ask for it but lets agree that you’ll increase my pay” I said with a smile.
“ you never cease to amaze me” he said chuckling “ but if that’s what will do then no biggie, we’ll have to have that idea up and running first though”
“ I like that idea, do add that just for thinking about the idea before you I’ll get 2% increase for now what do you say?”
“then it’s a deal”
“I would love to get this agreement officially on paper you know.” I told him wiggling my brows.
During the course of our conversation, the other employees had arrived and the place had begun flooding with people.

Not everyone believes in other worlds but earth but here there are other worlds. The planet Novadah had been in existence long before earth was even formed
Hawkins:
Waking up each day, getting ready for the day and sitting on the throne has been my pattern for the past 11 years of my life and I’ll let you know its boring as *uck, to think that doing it over and over again would kinda make it interesting but no it’s not. Whoever said that being royal was cool lied trust me on that one. Although it has its perks sometimes like the parties, balls and most especially the hunting; I cold say I’m the best hunter there is in the whole of Novadah.
When someone hears the first thing they think about is war, but that’s the thing I don’t. reasons because I hate death so much I know it’s weird but I cant care to loose anyone I love or even see other people loose their loved ones after all that’s  what took my parents from me. Both my parents loved getting involved in wars together that’s how much they loved themselves; they believed completely in the marriage oath ‘till death do us part’. I envy my parents love so much each passing day wishing that one day I would get the bone of my bone like papa used to say.
As a king, having ministers is one thing but having loyal ministers is another. Having both ministers on the left and right, every king has an enemy even within his official circle. The ministers on the right were never happy and content with the kind of king Hawkins was, they wanted a ruthless king who would conquer more realms than they already had. Mind you this king already had a whole planet that he had charge over, but this power hungry men wanted more domain than they already had.
Today, a very interesting matter had been placed on my work table about a gateway being open and it has been heard that a lot of bandits who are meant to have been arrested have gone through the gateway to another planet tagged earth. Things such as this I’m supposed to send people over there to get them but seeing as the only opportunity to leave this wonderful kingdom (note the sarcasm), don’t get me wrong it’s not like I hate it here or anything its just that I’ve gotten really bored of this place nothing interesting ever happens here. I decided to put that particular matter aside, I have known for sometime now that the ministers to my right have been engaging in illegal businesses from other realms even within my own territory talk about disloyalty. As a good king, I love placing concrete evidence to any matter as the need arises and this would be the perfect time to do so. I may have knights that serve the royal family yes but there are five men out of the whole lot that serve the throne that I can trust with my life those men being my best friends they would be the only ones to know of this plan till it’s in full motion, no matter how long it takes to bring this bad seeds to justice.

Horsemen, Kings, and Councilmen: Inside the Mighty OYO Empire.

The Oyo Empire: West Africa’s Forgotten Powerhouse When people talk about African empires, names like Mali and Songhai often take the spotlight. But tucked away in the history of what is now southwestern Nigeria lies the story of the Oyo Empire — a once-mighty Yoruba kingdom that ruled for centuries and shaped the region in ways that still echo today. Let’s dive into the fascinating world of Oyo and discover what made this empire one of West Africa’s great powers. A Kingdom Born of Legend According to Yoruba tradition, the Oyo Empire was founded by Oranyan , a descendant of Oduduwa , the mythical father of the Yoruba people. The empire began to take shape in the 14th century, growing from a modest city-state into a formidable force thanks to its strategic location in the open savannah — a perfect spot for farming, trade, and, perhaps most importantly, cavalry warfare. Politics Done Right (or at Least Balanced) One of the coolest things about Oyo was its political system. At th...
